Remembrance Assembly

Year 5 led a whole school  Remembrance assembly on November 11th.

We had spent some time learning some facts about the Royal British Legion and the work they do.

We also researched the Poppy Appeal and raised over £236 for this very worthwhile charity.

The facts we had learned were shared with the whole school, and we also shared some prayers and poems alongside a few Year 2 children.

Our assembly finished with a minute silence, started by Mr Hunter playing The Last Post and ending with The Reveille.

Thank you to everyone who came to the assembly and especially to those of you who contributed to the fantastic sum of money we made for the Poppy Appeal.
