Singing in a choir is a setting for sharing, laughter and fun. It provides a safe environment to try new skills. Singing is very important for children; an activity whereby all children can be equal and connected.
OLOL has always had a reputation for producing quality choirs and confident soloists. Unfortunately, Covid 19 restrictions now prevent groups singing close together in school along with a ban on playing certain musical instruments.
However, we do have access to ‘ZOOM’, which has been used around the world to connect people during lockdown. We would now like to trial 30 minute virtual choir rehearsals where the choir will still be able to sing together from the safety of home.
Each member of the choir would require access to the internet, a pair of headphones and a lyric sheet (supplied by Mr Hunter). The trial will take place on Wednesday 16th September and Wednesday 23rd September, from 4.00pm until 4.30pm. These will be led by Mr Hunter and Miss Lam. As always, new members are very welcome.
Please contact the school if you would like the Zoom invitation resent.

“I enjoy Choir because it makes me feel happy and I also learn a lot from it. Choir is a great place to start singing because the director will always help you achieve your best.”
Sharleigh, Choir Captain 2020-21
“We love Choir because it encourages us to be more confident in ourselves. You will always get great tuition and – it’s fun!
Darcy and Lillie, Dance Captains 2020-2021
